PUTULA, SAMUEL (1880-1935) wife Lisa Witala (1876-1955). Arrived 1904. A
son Henry,born in 1905.
WIITALA, WILLIAM (1852-1935) wife Amelia (1853-1925). Mr.Wiitala worked
his way to West with CPR construction arriving at Mara in 1905 to buy the farm from Dave
Shannon, which he succesfully operated until he died. Mr.Wiitala was an outstanding leader
in the Finnish community in particular, and of the entire community in general. They were
the parents of Lisa (1876-1955) Mrs.S.Putula; Victor (1877-1939); William (1878-19180;
Mary (no dates) Mrs. Mackie.
WIITALA, VICTOR (1877-19390). His first wife died in 1907. His second
wife was born in 1890. The children: Elsie (1902) Mrs.Foote; Helvie (1904-) Mrs. Macdyen;
Esther (1905) Mrs.Moisio; Hilma (1907-1943); Pentti (1909-1931); Olga (1911-1939); Vivian
(1913-1938); Arthur (1915-); Phillip and Phylis.(1922-); Eugene and Evelyn (1926-).
