Presbyterian Church Fire

September 12, 1969

2670copy.jpg (13329 bytes) A.fire destoyed a city home and only a few things were saved by the owners Mr. And Mrs. Abel. Faulty electrical wiring started the fire before 11 p.m. Enderby's fire department was on the scene in minutes and contained the fire so that trees along the street were left unburned.

This historical home was a Presbyterian Church from 1890 until 1906 when the St. Andrews Brick Church was opened. Over the course of time it became a dwelling home for many tenants.
