Fire Equipment

0509copy.jpg (10858 bytes)With the laying of the water main along Cliff Street, it was obvious that fire equipment, and a fire brigade to operate the equipment, was needed in downtown Enderby.

To that end, the local businessmen pressured, and even aided, the city to purchase five hundred feet of fire hose. A thirty-four foot extension ladder was ordered, along with smaller supplies.

Then, in the fall of the same year, a hose reel was ordered, and a four-foot steel triangle was obtained as a fire alarm.
