Mayor, 1921 - 1922
Mr. Smedley was born near Nottingham, England in 1865. He passed away in June 1922. George spent his early life working as a member of the Eaton farm staff in Toronto. Mr. Smedley then spent much of the best part of his life working in the wood & coal & drainage business in Sandon. B.C.
Mr. Smedley took over the role of Mayor from Fred Barnes on June 28, 1921.
