Charles Hawkins

Mayor, 1925 - 1944

Mr. Hawkins was born in England and died in 1945. Charles came to the Okanagan in 1907. He was a very talented musician and was an organist at the Methodist, Presbyterian , and Baptist churches.

Mr. Hawkins held many executive positions in Enderby. He was an alderman for three years, a school trustee for four years, a chairman on the General Hospital Board for twenty-one years, and was mayor of Enderby for twenty years, taking over from Mayor James Johnson.
