Snapshots from the Past

In 1989 A.L. Fortune Secondary School students were asked to test a new software program from IBM called Linkway. They chose the history of our community as their subject. English students interviewed pioneers and wrote articles of their choice. Computer students linked the articles and created the documents. Computer student Gerry Larson designed the completed presentation, Links Through Time, while working in the Enderby Museum during the summer.

In the year 2000 computer students from Shuswap Junior Secondary School, under the tutelage of Enderby resident and computer teacher Karl Emde, re-built this presentation to be posted on the Internet. Articles have been added over time. Here you will find a few samples of articles from the project. You are welcome to view the entire program in the museum.
