Snapshots From the Past:
In 1989 A.L. Fortune Secondary School students were asked to test a new software program from IBM called Linkway. They chose the history of our community as their subject. English students interviewed oldtimers and wrote articles of their choice; computer students created the documents. Computer student Gerry Larson designed the completed presentaton, Links Through Time, while working in the Enderby Museum during the summer.

In the year 2000 computer students from Shuswap Junior Secondary School, under the tutelage of Enderby resident and computer teacher Karl Emde, re-built this presentation to be posted on the Internet. You are welcome to wander through this website and gain a new understanding of our community's past. Snapshots from the Past is expandable; new submissions are always welcome.

Kingfisher History Project:
Community residents are researching the history of the Kingfisher Valley and Mabel Lake area. If you have lived here, worked here, vacationed here, or caught a fish here, they want to hear your story. The end result, once the research is done, will be a book of stories, both old and up to the present, on life in the Kingfisher area. If you wish to participate, and would like to share your stories with the history project, please print the attached questionnaire, fill it out, and mail it to Judy Fischer P.O. Box 100, Enderby, BC, V0E 1V0.
