| Volunteers in the museum offer a one to two hour slide show presentation of the
history of the area to interested groups and school classes. Also available is a guided or
self-guided walking tour of downtown businesses and residences. School
classes and groups can request a tour of the museum or a special program relating to a
specific period of study (eg. Overlanders). Secondary school students are encouraged to
use the museum archives and references for essays on local history. |

The museum is an active member of the community. We often develop special
photograph and artifact displays to supplement reunions, open houses, river days
celebrations, sports tournaments, extraordinary meetings, and other community events. We work with other community organizations to offer lectures throughout the year |
